Darya Aslanyan has been a member of the Union of Photo artists of Russia since 2005, winner of the Young Photographers of Russia award in 2003,2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, as well as awards of photographic contests Direct Look, Photo Parade in Uglich and the Polar Perspective, finalist of the World Reportage Award 2018, Italy. She has participated in more than 20 group exhibitions, including The Young Man in the 21st Century (2015, Lithuania) and Marsciano Arte Giovani (Italy, 2016).
In search of love
Ksjusha and Ilja are teenagers from the asylum for orphants. When they first met and fell in love Ksjusha had already had a daughter - she gave birth to her at the age of 16. When the teenagers escaped the asylum, they started to live like a family that they never had searching for love they lost in their childhood. They often behave like kids: Ksjusha decorates daughter's photoalbum with cartoon fairies and hearts,noticing: "So cool I can store all that.I hadn't such memories". Ilja is often hanging around with his friends, he can't find job because of his conviction for disorderly conduct. It's hard for him to take responsibility for his family also due to his diagnosis: mentally retarded. Ksjusha worries: they are expecting the second baby and she is afraid because of their financial and social instability. But despite all those things and their childish view of life the teenagers try to build the family searching for love they lost
