Surrogate mother

The Surrogacy Act was passed in Iran in 2004 to combat infertility that affects one out of five couples in the country. Surrogacy is prohibited in several countries, such as Spain and England. It is legal in Germany, but only on a volunteer basis. Iran's government believes that solving fertility problems also leads to a reduced number of divorces.

The uterus replacement system is when the mother gestates someone else's fetus in her uterus. Based on the official agreement, the baby will be surrendered to the couple after birth, which causes the mother to suffer some serious psychological problems.
